Step 0: Check the release notes first
- Make sure you have checked the release notes before installing Actifsource
Step 1: Accept License Restrictions
- Use the Actifsource Workbench Community Edition for NON-commercial projects only
Step 2: Download Eclipse
- Download Eclipse from eclipse.org
- Extract the eclipse directory to your programs folder

- WARNING: You must start Eclipse with administrator rights if installed in C:\Program Folder\
- Edit eclipse.ini:

- Set -vm C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre8\bin if Eclipse does not find your Java 8 installation
- Start eclipse.exe
Step 3: Install Actifsource Workbench
- Add the Actifsource Update site: https://updates.actifsource.com/updates
- Install the actifsource plugin (see License Agreement)
- Close and reopen (restart is not sufficient) Eclipse to adjust memory settings
Step 4: Switch to the Actifsource Perspective
- Click on the Open Perspective tool in the Eclipse toolbar
- Click Other...
- Select the actifsource perspective
Step 5: Start with the Actifsource Tutorials
Start with the Actifsource tutorials and learn as you go.
